Overview

Citi’s fixed-screen ATM UI needed to meet WCAG 2.1 in North America, with a foundation that could scale globally. What started as a reskin became a full accessibility-driven rebuild.

As the lead designer, I audited the legacy experience, rebuilt 500+ screens from the ground up, and created a token-based design system in Figma. I partnered with compliance, localization, and engineering to ensure the UI worked across regions, languages, and real device constraints.

Impact

• Rolled out to 65,000+ ATMs across North America and 20+ global markets

• Achieved WCAG 2.1 compliance across ATM software + hardware in North America
